Vittorio Simoni

Simoni laat zich leiden door een specifieke ontwerpmethodiek, die hij omschrijft als een ‘situationele theorie’. Architectuur en interieurontwerp vallen niet in universele theorieën te vatten maar hangen af van de situatie. Deze aanpak levert werkbare en eigenzinnige ontwerpen op. Of zoals hij zelf liet optekenen: “De situatie is de drager van de oplossing.”

Simoni is guided by a specific design methodology, which he describes as a "situational theory '. Architecture and interior are not to grasp in universal theories but depend on the situation. This approach provides workable and quirky designs. Or, as he self had recorded: "The situation is the carrier of the solution."

Het perceel is een onregelmatige vorm op een steile helling en ligt in het zuiden, met uitzicht op de baai van Altea. De elementen die inherent zijn aan het huis zoals zwembaden, externe gebieden, enz., zijn geconcentreerd rond het gebouw. Het gebouw is loodrecht op de helling ontworpen. Het doel van deze bepaling is om te genieten van de buitengewone uitzichten vanuit elke kamer van het huis. Toegang tot huisvesting leidt naar de bovenste verdieping op het niveau van de straat, met een garage, die uitzicht biedt op de zee, omdat de steile helling het moeilijk of onmogelijk maakt om een oprit te ontwikkelen die voldoet aan de regels (max. 18% helling). Vanaf hier een trap die toegang biedt tot alle verdiepingen. De gelijkvloers bevat de gehele woning, inclusief terrassen en een overstromend zwembad. De kamers en de opslag bevinden zich in de semi-kelder.
